What is Gas-X Simethicone?

Gas-X contains simethicone, an antiflatulent used to relieve discomfort caused by excess gas in the stomach and intestines. It is used to relieve:

  • Bloating

  • Abdominal pressure

  • Excessive gas

  • Feeling of fullness after meals

How do I take Gas-X?

  • Take by mouth after meals and at bedtime, or as directed

  • Tablets or caplets should be chewed or swallowed as instructed on the label

  • Can be taken with or without food

What dosage do I take?

  • Adults and children 12 years and above: 1 capsule/tablet (125 mg) after meals and at bedtime as needed

  • Do not exceed the maximum daily dose stated on the product label

  • Children under 12 years: Use only on medical advice

What are the potential side effect?

  • Gas-X Simethicone is generally very well tolerated.
    Side effects are rare but may include:

    • Mild nausea
