What is Retinol Beauty Serum?

Retinol Beauty Serum is a potent leave-on treatment designed to penetrate deeper into the skin layers than a cleanser. It contains a higher concentration of Vitamin A to address more significant skin concerns. It is used to improve:

  • Overall skin tone and refined pore appearance. It works by communicating with skin cells to increase turnover and stimulate the production of new, healthy skin cells and supportive proteins.

How do I use Retinol Beauty Serum?

After cleansing and drying your face, apply 2–3 drops of serum to your fingertips and gently press into the skin, avoiding the delicate eye and lip areas. Always apply to dry skin; applying retinol to damp skin can increase absorption too quickly, leading to irritation. Follow with a nourishing moisturizer to lock in hydration.

What dosage do I take?

  • The Sandwich Method: For sensitive skin, apply moisturizer first, then retinol, then more moisturizer to create a buffer.

  • The 1-2-3 Rule: Use it once a week for the first week, twice a week for the next two weeks, and three times a week thereafter as tolerated.

  • Night Use Only: Retinol is broken down by sunlight and loses its effectiveness if used during the day.

  • Sun Protection: You must wear SPF 30 or higher daily while using this product, as new skin cells are highly vulnerable to UV damage.

What are the potential side effect?

  • Dryness and flaking: Common as old skin cells shed.

  • Redness and “retinol burn”: Happens if the product is used too frequently or on broken skin.
