What is Klinfast?

Klinfast forte is a prescription-only vaginal suppository containing clindamycin (clotrimazole, and tinidazole, designed to treat mixed vaginal infections, including bacterial vaginosis and candidiasis. It alleviates itching, discharge, and inflammation. Treatment usually involves inserting one suppository nightly for 7 consecutive days

How do I use it?

This medication is for intravaginal use only. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after use. Remove the suppository from its wrapper and insert it as deeply as possible into the vagina using your finger or the provided applicator. It is best to do this while lying on your back with your knees drawn up. Application is recommended at bedtime to ensure the medication is absorbed properly while you lie down. Avoid using tampons, douches, or other vaginal products during the treatment course.

What dosage do I take?

The recommended dosage is:

Adults: 1 suppository inserted once daily at night for 7 consecutive days.

Consistency: It is vital to complete the full 7-day course, even if your symptoms disappear after the first few days, to ensure the infection is fully cleared.

Missed Dose: If you miss a dose, insert it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not use two suppositories at once.

What are the potential side effect?

Klinfast is generally well-tolerated, but some individuals may experience:
