What is Polygel Dual?

Polygel Dual is a combination antacid that contains aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and Simethicone. It is used to relieve:

  • Heartburn
  • Indigestion
  • Acid reflux
  • Gas and bloating

It works by neutralizing excess stomach acid and reducing surface tension of gas bubbles, helping to relieve both acidity and discomfort from bloating.

How do I take Polygel Dual?

Shake the bottle well before each use. Measure the dose using a medicine cup or spoon. Take it between meals and at bedtime, or as directed by your doctor. Avoid drinking water immediately after to allow the medicine to coat the stomach lining.

What dosage do I take?

The correct dosage of Polygel Dual depends on your condition and your doctor’s recommendation. However, general guidelines are:

  • Adults: 10–20 ml after meals and at bedtime
  • Do not exceed 80 ml in 24 hours unless directed by a doctor
  • Not recommended for long-term use without medical supervision
  • Not recommended for Children under 12years
What are the potential side effect?

Polygel Dual suspension may cause some side effects. Common ones include:

  •  Constipation (from aluminium)
  • Diarrhea (from magnesium),
  • Nausea and Chalky taste.
